Livingston Community News!

Two new and exciting things coming to the community
just in time for back to school!

The new Transit on Demand Pilot Project has started and is accessible to commuters going to and from the communities of Livingston and Carrington. By using the FREE Calgary Transit on Demand app to book a van commuters will be picked up and transported to the Northern Pointe transit hub. This allows the city of Calgary to save money while still offering access to the main bus routes.

Fares are the same as any transit fare in the city of Calgary, ($3.40 per adult and $2.35 for youth six to 17) and the pilot project will honour transfers to another bus once at the transit hub.

"The goal is that it should save the city money because if you put on a bus and it's virtually empty because you've predicted a pattern that doesn't exist, you've actually wasted a lot of money trying to figure out what the demand actually is," -Coun. Jyoti Gondek
